Cascade Wind Interconnection Project
The following comments were submitted in response to the open comment period described below.
BPA has been asked by UPC Oregon Wind, LLC to interconnect up to 50 megawatts of electricity generated from UPC’s proposed Cascade Wind Farm Project in Wasco County, Ore. to the Federal Columbia River Transmission System (FCRTS). UPC would independently build, own and operate the wind project and their associated facilities. BPA would construct a new switchyard (tap) beneath its existing Hood River-The Dalles 115-kilovolt transmission line to interconnect the wind project to the FCRTS. The proposed interconnection project is in the early stages of environmental review.
