Battery

Battery storage systems allow utilities or customers to chemically store electrical energy for dispatch at a time when it is more economical, strategic, or efficient. It ensures uninterruptible power during system outages, and enables peak shaving to decrease peak-time demand charges. Off-peak power can be stored to be dispatched during periods of high demand. End users who are active participants in the Energy Web sell surplus stored power back to the utility.
