Green Motor Initiative What happens when a motor fails? When a motor fails, the user or owner faces three choices: to rewind to a lower efficiency; to rewind and maintain the original efficiency; or to replace it with a new motor. If the motor rewind resulted in the motor having maintained its original efficiency, it is commonly called a GREEN REWIND. Participating utilities are offering incentives to motor end users and qualifying motor service centers. Please visit Green Motor Practices Group www.greenmotors.org for incentive details and to find out which utilities and motor service centers are participating. Key Advantages of Green Motor Initiative
Qualifying motors include 15 hp to 500 hp standard horsepower-rated motors. |
