BPA Post-2011 Energy Efficiency

Post 2011

The Pacific Northwest has been a national leader in energy efficiency for more than 30 years. This status did not happen by accident; it is the result of proactive and aggressive efforts by the entire region, including the Bonneville Power Administration, the Northwest Power and Conservation Council, utilities, and numerous policy leaders all working together. Since January 2009, BPA has conducted a public process to establish a framework for BPA and the public utilities of the Northwest to build upon this success and continue to acquire Energy Efficiency to serve as a cost effective power resource for the region.

This process resulted in a wholly new means for BPA to support the acquisition of energy efficiency in the Northwest beginning in FY12. To help our customer utilities effectively navigate the new Post 2011 environment BPA is creating both informational sheets on specific policy issues that will impact the acquisition of energy efficiency. These documents will be posted to this site as they are created.
