Introduction
	From its humble beginnings as a small stream in the mountains of Canada this river pushes onward to become a massive waterway flowing through two states. Many ages ago, geologic forces carved a path through the Cascades creating a mighty gorge, through which the Columbia found its way to the Pacific Ocean. The beautiful and majestic Columbia invites us to explore and recreate.
