Albany-Eugene Transmission Line Rebuild

BPA proposes to rebuild a 32-mile section of the Albany-Eugene 115-kilovolt No. 1 Transmission Line to maintain safe and reliable electrical service for the area. Many of the structures, the electric wire, and associated structural components are physically worn and structurally unsound in places. This line was originally built in 1940 and these wood transmission poles have lasted beyond the expected 55 to 60 years, and now need to be replaced.

BPA will prepare an environmental assessment to understand the potential environmental impacts of this proposal.

Walla Walla Tucannon River Transmission Line Rebuild Project

BPA is proposing to rebuild the 47 mile long, Walla Walla -Tucannon River 115 kilovolt (kV) transmission line located in Walla Walla and Columbia counties, Washington.
The project would include replacing wood poles, associated structural components, and conductor, access road improvements, and some vegetation removal. The rebuild would enable BPA to maintain reliable electric service and avoid risks to the public and worker safety. The line would continue to operate at 115-kV.
