Gerald "Buzz" Cobell



Buzz is an enrolled member of the Blackfeet Nation, located in north central Montana. He graduated from Browning High School and is a U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Cobell has a B.S. in Recreation Area Management from Montana State and an M.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife Management from Utah State.

Buzz served 6 years as the Director of the Blackfeet Fish, Wildlife, and Parks Department. Mr. Cobell has 28 years of Federal service, including the following positions: Law Enforcement Ranger and Natural Resources Ranger in Glacier National Park; Natural Resources Specialist and Environmental Protection Specialist for the Bureau of Indian Affairs; 11 years as a Supervisory Fish and Wildlife Biologist for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Utah and Montana.

Buzz currently is the Tribal Account Executive assigned to the following Tribes: Kalispel Tribe, Kootenai Tribe of Idaho, Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, Shoshone Bannock Tribes, Shoshone Paiute Tribes, and Burns Paiute Tribes.
