BPA is revitalizing many of its aged wood-pole transmission lines, some dating as far back as the World War II era. BPA crews take special care long before construction begins to avoid unnecessary impacts to the land and residents. River forecasts continue decline
An unusually dry winter has dropped projected river flows in the Columbia Basin this year to about two-thirds of their long-term average, which will likely reduce hydroelectric power generation.

Wright tells Congress of NW wind growth
