Dry weather leaves rivers low


Press conference scheduled to discuss impacts and actions



PORTLAND, Ore. -

Representatives of regional electric utilities will hold a press conference Thursday, March 24, at 10 a.m. at the Bonneville Power Administration to share information about the current water supply forecast and to urge Northwest residents to use energy efficiently this year.

What:
Representatives of the utilities will explain the effects of the dry weather on the region's hydroelectric system and on rates. They will discuss how consumers can help.
