HEARING TODAY ON MORE SPILL AT COLUMBIA RIVER DAMS THIS SUMMER
PORTLAND, Ore. -
The U.S. District Court in Portland's Mark Hatfield Federal Courthouse today will hear arguments regarding an injunction that could increase spill at federal dams this summer. The hearing begins at 9 a.m.
Current plans are to spill water at mainstem dams through August to assist migration of juvenile salmon. Plaintiffs have asked Judge Jim Redden to order federal agencies to provide more spill and flow. Federal officials will be present to answer questions from the press following the hearing.
