MEDIA ADVISORY Burnt Bridge Creek Greenway dedication to be held Thursday morning, Aug. 11
VANCOUVER, Wash. - -
Vancouver Mayor Royce Pollard will be joined by Alan Courts, BPA vice president for Engineering and Technical Services, in a program to dedicate a four-mile long greenway that will include a new 12-foot wide pathway. Mayor Royce and Courts will participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11a.m.
BPA donated the use of four miles of its 300-foot wide right-of-way so Clark Parks and Recreation could construct the new pathway. The city of Vancouver also planted native shrubs along the pathway and will maintain the entire right-of-way.
The dedication is Thursday, Aug. 11, at 11 a.m., creekside at 65th Avenue, one block south of 18th Street.
Prior to the dedication, there will be a four-mile bicycle ride with Mayor Royce from the west side of the I-5 Pedestrian Bridge near Kiggins Bowl parking lot on Main Street. The ride will end at the official dedication.
