Feds deliver salmon recovery progress report






PORTLAND, Ore. -
Joint release from the National Marine Fisheries Service, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bonneville Power Administration.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the Bureau of Reclamation, the Bonneville Power Administration and NOAA Fisheries sent a joint letter to the Northwest congressional delegation, governors and tribes concerning the "2004 Progress Highlights" report covering the actions they have taken to protect and recover Columbia River Basin salmon and steelhead listed under the Endangered Species Act. The report covers actions taken in 2004, many of which continue today. The letter and the report can be found at: www.salmonrecovery.gov/reports_and_papers/biop_implementation/2004.cfm
