Getting Involved in the EIS
There are several ways to participate in the I-5 Corridor Reinforcement Project public involvement process.

Provide information or comments
BPA is still accepting comments on the project. You can submit comments online, or by mail, phone or fax.

Attend public meetings
BPA often provides speakers for organized group or neighborhood meetings. To request a speaker for a group meeting, contact Maryam Asgharian by e-mail or phone at 503-230-4413.

Future public involvement opportunities
BPA often hosts public meetings if we make changes to the proposed project or have other important developments to share. If you want to be notified, please sign up for our mailing list.

Previous public involvement opportunities
BPA held public scoping meetings for the I-5 Corridor Reinforcement Project EIS in Washington and Oregon in October and November 2009. Meeting summaries with information about the comments BPA received at each meeting are available.

BPA has attended numerous meetings upon request from citizen groups, neighborhoods and other people interested in the project. A BPA representative presents an overview of the project, answers questions and takes feedback from the public.

BPA held four additional public meetings in August and September 2010 to provide landowners and other interested stakeholders with updated information about the project, including the revised project map. A meeting summary is available and describes the format, attendance and topics discussed at the meetings.

For more information
Public participation is a key element of the National Environmental Policy Act. For more information on public participation in the NEPA process, please consult the following publications:

Need more information or have a question about the project or EIS? Please check the FAQs. If your question isn't included there, please submit your question through the online comment form. We will get your question to the right person and they will respond as soon as possible.
