As Acting Senior Vice President for Power Services, Mark O. Gendron is responsible for the generation, marketing and sale of power.

Gendron’s previous position was as vice president of requirements marketing in Power Services, giving him responsibility for marketing and contracting power sales to BPA’s public customers.

Gendron has been at BPA for four years. He has worked in the electric utility industry for 29 years in engineering and management capacities. He has 20 years of public utility management experience at the City of Idaho Falls; 10 years as chief engineer and then 10 years as general manager of Idaho Falls Power.

He has served on a variety of public power organization committees and boards, including Public Power Council, Idaho Consumer-Owned Utilities Association, Idaho Energy Authority and Utah Associated Municipal Power Systems.

Gendron has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado and is a licensed professional engineer in Idaho.

The Colorado native and married father of four children enjoys golf and other outdoor activities.
