Molly Moreland serves as liaison to the Nez Perce, Yakama, Umatilla, and Warm Springs tribes, and the Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission (CRITFC).
Molly taught high school math and science before coming to BPA in 1999. She has served in a variety of roles at BPA, including liaison, policy advisor, and all-around problem solver for the Fish and Wildlife Program and its many tribal, state, federal and private partners. She managed the coordination projects that provide funding and a framework for tribal organizations to participate meaningfully in regional natural resource decision-making. She was a founding member of the Process Improvement/Pisces project, which transformed the business practices, financial management, organizational structure, and reporting protocols of the Fish and Wildlife Program. In 2008 Molly facilitated the successful launch of the Columbia Basin Fish Accords.
Molly has a Bachelor of Science degree in Combined Sciences from Santa Clara University, and many graduate credits in topics ranging from system dynamics to horticulture that, while worthwhile and interesting, have yet to add up to a master’s degree. She lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and three sons.
