Conservation Easement in the Elk Creek Watershed




The following comments were submitted in response to the open comment period described below.

    The Bonneville Power Administration is proposing to fund the acquisition of habitat to benefit resident fish species in the Swan Valley, Missoula County, in northwest Montana. The land is located near the mouth of Elk Creek, a major tributary to the Swan River. The land would be acquired by the Swan Ecosystem Center (a non-profit community organization based in Condon, Mont.) for the purpose of bull trout habitat conservation.
