Palisades-Goshen Transmisison Line Rebuild




The following comments were submitted in response to the open comment period described below.

    BPA is proposing to rebuild the Palisades-Goshen line. The new transmission line is needed in order to ensure safety and reliability in the area that extends 52 miles from the Palisades Dam in eastern Idaho to BPA’s Goshen substation south of Idaho Falls, Idaho. BPA proposes to replace the existing 115-kV poles with new 230-kV poles. BPA is accepting comments on this project through June 15, 2007.
