Olympic Peninsula Reinforcement Project
The following comments were submitted in response to the open comment period described below.
The Bonneville Power Administration is proposing to remove about 14.5 miles of an existing 115-kilovolt (kV) transmission line between Olympia and Shelton substations on the Olympic Peninsula and upgrade it with a new 230-kV line. The new transmission line is needed to improve reliability to the loads BPA serves on the Peninsula by increasing voltage stability. BPA is starting the environmental review for the project and would like your comments.
