Demand response pilot funding opportunity announcement



BPA wants to further learning in the Pacific Northwest around demand response and catalyze the creation of a resource which can help meet issues surrounding peak demand, capacity and delivery constraints and wind integration. To accomplish this, the agency invites public utility customers to submit an application for funding for residential demand response pilot projects under BPA Funding Opportunity Announcement No. 1530

The deadline for submitting questions regarding this announcement was March 4, 2010. BPA responded to those questions and more at a pre-application teleconference on March 10. You may download a summary of the question and answers submitted electronically to BPA prior to March 4 and questions asked and answered at the March 10 teleconference.

Timeline
BPA seeks to move ahead rapidly with these pilots. Timeline is:
  • Clarifying questions submitted to BPA
March 4, 2010
  • Pre-application conference
March 10, 2010
  • Letter of intent to participate in FOA:
March 19, 2010
  • Response to FOA due date:
April 19, 2010
  • BPA notifies applicants selected:
mid-May 2010
  • BPA begins making awards
May and June, 2010
