Commercial sector and the Sixth Power Plan
The BPA commercial sector team is working to enhance its offering in response to the
draft supply curves for the Northwest Power and Conservation Council's Sixth Power Plan
with the goal of empowering utility customers to reach their energy efficiency targets.
Based on this information, lighting is the largest single source of efficiency potential

significant potential for energy conservation.
In response to the rising targets and potential changes to the Sixth Plan, the commercial
sector strategy includes the following components:
Commercial lighting
BPA is increasing investment in the Commercial Lighting Program through the following enhancements:
- Increased usability of the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) Lighting Calculator Spreadsheet
- Continued support for programmatic infrastructure through the Northwest Trade Ally Network (TAN)
- The addition of new measures (including solid state lighting measures) to the core lighting offer as viable sources of cost effective energy savings
EnergySmart Grocer
The commercial sector team will continue to operate the EnergySmart Grocer to capture
significant savings available in the commercial refrigeration segment and pursue the
creation of additional deemed measures where feasible.
