Smart Power Strips Background In order to collect information on multiple different types of Smart Power Strips, BPA has established a broad specification for this measure. By establishing a reimbursement based on provisionally deemed savings and costs, utilities will supported in operating programs to install the measure. Utility efforts in rapidly deploying this equipment will position the region to complete research more rapidly than would be possible through an isolated BPA effort. BPA has created a research plan to monitor these installations to measure and verify provisionally deemed savings and costs for this measure. Due to the research objectives related to this measure utilities participating in the installation of this measure are required to provide specific research data (equipment make/model, cost, building type) for each installation, and are encouraged to work with BPA in a detailed post metering evaluation to confirm savings estimates. Required information is collected through the Planning, Tracking, and Reporting system and includes the following:
As the program is launched, BPA will request that any utilities interested in participating in the detailed metering portion of this initiative contact BPA for more information. Utilities interested in participating in the offer are invited to contact their Energy Efficiency Representative. |
