Anita Decker has served as Chief Operating Officer for the Bonneville Power Administration since 2007. Prior to this, she spent 27 years with PacifiCorp, rising to the role of vice president. She worked in various positions of increasing responsibility in Oregon, Wyoming and Utah related to customer service, transmission/distribution construction and maintenance, sales and marketing, human resources, energy conservation, procurement, real estate management and SAP support functions.
As Chief Operating Officer she has responsibility for BPA’s Power Services; Transmission Services; Environment, Fish & Wildlife; Customer Service and Internal Business Services.
Decker moved to Portland in 1998 and is currently involved in several civic and professional activities. She serves on the Portland State University School of Business’ Business Advisory Council, Portland State University School of Engineering Advisory Council, the University of Idaho Utility Executive Summit Advisory Board and the Liberty Theater Board in Astoria, Or. She is also a member of the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum of Oregon and past President of the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance.
Decker earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Utah Valley University and completed a senior business leadership program through the Wharton School of Business. She is also a graduate of the INSEAD advanced management program in Fontainebleau, France.
Decker, a Seattle, Wash., native, lives in Portland, Ore., with her husband Dan. They have four grown children and seven grandchildren. She enjoys golfing, hiking, traveling and fine dining.
