BPA's Rosy Mazaika hosts "Putting Fish Back in the Rivers," a program that highlights several BPA-sponsored fish habitat improvement projects. The show will air on Portland Community Media's Comcast cable channels over the next few weeks.
Tune into Portland Community Media's Comcast cable channels over the next few weeks and you can learn more about several fish habitat improvement projects sponsored by the Bonneville Power Administration.
The "Putting Fish Back in the Rivers" show, produced by BPA Public Affairs and hosted by Rosy Mazaika, Oregon Implementation manager in BPA's Fish and Wildlife division, highlights BPA-sponsored projects in the Umatilla and John Day River sub basins as well as the Columbia River Estuary near the mouth of the river.
Portland Community Media channels are available to nearly one million Comcast cable subscribers within the Portland metro area, and Lorri Bodi, vice president of Environment, Fish and Wildlife, thinks the program has incredible potential.
"If we can tap into just a small fraction of those cable subscribers, we can show thousands of people the great work BPA is doing to improve salmon and steelhead habitat across the Northwest," Bodi says.
The 22-minute program debuted March 19 on Comcast cable channel 22 with repeat showings continuing through April on cable channels 22 and 23 (available to subscribers within Portland city limits) and cable channel 11 (which can be seen throughout most of the metro area).
