BPA's power rates are designed to recover the costs of generating power and associated costs. Currently, power rates are set separately from transmission rates. Beginning in January, 2009, Transmission Services (TS) and Power Services (PS) will initiate concurrent rate cases. The two business lines will conduct separate rate case dockets, but will work under a common schedule, publish a single notice in the Federal Register, and use the same Hearing Officer. This web site only includes information on power rates. For information on BPA's transmission rates, please see the transmission rates web site.
