BPA will host a public meeting on Nov. 17 in its Rates Hearing Room in Portland from 9 a.m. to noon to discuss its updated strategic plan which is expected to be published in January 2018, accompanied by a supporting financial plan.
BPA has spent more than a year developing the plan with the intent to position BPA to adapt to a rapidly transforming energy industry. BPA continues to seek ways to improve delivery of its mission through increased efficiency, flexibility and financial responsibility.
Though BPA’s mission hasn’t changed, it has identified specific actions that are either already launching, or will need to be implemented to improve its value to the region.
In its draft agency strategy, BPA has identified three areas for every employee to focus on to improve business: cost management discipline and financial stewardship, increasing customer value, and improving BPA’s ability to execute on the actions that will move us forward. Four operational areas have specific actions to move us forward: Corporate, Transmission, Power, and Fish and Wildlife.
