Birdtrack Springs & Longley Meadows Fish Habitat Restoration Project [Wallowa County, OR]
BPA is proposing to fund the Birdtrack Springs Restoration Project, which is located within the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest and adjacent private lands in the Upper Grande Ronde River, Oregon.  The project is a partnership between the Bonneville Power Administration, Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation, United States Forest Service, and Bureau of Reclamation.  The project goals are to benefit ESA-listed Pacific Salmonids and their habitat through excavating channel meanders, removing artificial constraints, increasing off-channel connectivity, and increasing instream complexity though placement of large wood structures.  Initial project scoping was concluded in February 2016 and the initial draft of the EA is currently underway.
