Bonneville-Hood River Transmission Line Rebuild Project [Multnomah and Hood River counties, Oregon]

BPA proposes to rebuild the 23-mile Bonneville-Hood River 115-kV wood-pole transmission line and the associated Cascade Locks tap line located between the Bonneville Dam and BPA’s Hood River Substation, Ore. Improvements would involve replacing all wood-pole structures, replacing conductors and ground wires, and improving access roads. If BPA decides to proceed with the project, construction of road improvements would begin in the summer of 2018, while rebuilding of the transmission line would begin in the summer of 2019.
