The Bonneville Power Administration is proposing to fund habitat restoration along the Wallacut River in Pacific County, Wash. If BPA decides to fund the project, Columbia Land Trust will conduct restoration actions along the Wallacut River at its confluence with the Columbia River, approximately one and one half miles northeast of Ilwaco, Wash. Proposed restoration actions include the removal of a levee, ditch filling, excavation of tidal channels, removal of invasive vegetation and planting of native vegetation. The restoration would improve habitat for 13 Endangered Species Act-listed salmon and steelhead species, as well as other fish and wildlife species. BPA is analyzing the potential impacts of the proposal as required under the National Environmental Policy Act. As part of the NEPA analysis we are asking that you help us determine which issues should be addressed in the environmental analysis.
