‚ÄčArlington CEP Wind Project Interconnection
Gilliam County, Oregon

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Columbia Energy Partners (CEP) has asked Bonneville Power Administration (BPA) for services allowing interconnection of 200 megawatts (MW) of electricity from the Arlington Wind Project to the Federal Columbia River Transmission System (FCRTS). BPA would integrate up to 200-MW of power into the the FCRTS at a tap on the 230-kilovolt McNary-Santiam #2 transmission line two miles south of the town of Arlington. BPA would build the Jones Canyon switching station near tower 49/4 of the McNary-Santiam #2 line. The power from the wind project would be delivered from a collector substation that CEP would construct and own adjacent to the Jones Canyon switching station.
