BPA Transmission has posted an updated version (4.0) of the Transmission Business Model. The distinctive difference between v4.0 and v3.0 is the articulation of TBM objectives as they relate to the 2018-2023 BPA Strategic Plan.

Transmission Business Model Version 4.0 (9/20/18)

BPA Transmission Vision

BPA Transmission is committed to being a dependable and responsive business partner as we proactively navigate a changing environment to achieve economic and reliability benefits for our customers and the region. To achieve this we will:
  • Streamline and modernize processes and systems to support enhanced situational awareness and data-driven decision making
  • Offer open access transmission service through standardized and value based products
  • Support a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

Evolving Grid

BPA Transmission is aware that national and regional de-carbonization objectives, changing load and resource locations, electrification and other factors will impact the way it does business over the next two decades. To address how BPA will approach this Evolving Grid, BPA is holding a meeting for customers and stakeholders to discuss this “Evolving Grid” and what BPA has done to date and what we expect to come next.
