For almost 20 years, BPA has maintained a robust Non-residential Lighting offering. BPA continues to invest in the lighting program as a critical component to achieving regional conservation targets.

BPA’s lighting offering provides ample opportunities for utilities and their customers to improve their energy efficiency, enjoy cost savings, and reap the non-energy benefits of upgraded lighting.

Lighting Calculators

BPA’s Nonresidential Lighting offering is captured in an easy-to-use, Microsoft Excel-based tool – the BPA Lighting Calculator. While the Lighting Calculator can be downloaded from the BPA website here, please note that BPA’s customer utilities use their own branded versions of the BPA Lighting Calculator.

Since October 1, 2014, BPA has used the “3.0” series of the Lighting Calculator. This includes the current Lighting Calculator 3.3. Lighting Calculator 3.3 will be retired on September 30, 2019. The new “4.0” series of the Lighting Calculator can be used for projects dated as early as October 1, 2017. The Lighting Calculator 4.0 series retirement date is December 31, 2019.

Are you a lighting contractor and not sure which version of the BPA Lighting Calculator you should be using? Contact your local BPA customer utility to find out. A simple zip code look up tool to the local utility contact is available on the Northwest Lighting Network website here.

As a complement to the Lighting Calculator 4.0, BPA has developed a short 2-page lighting offerings summary.
