With BPA’s current power sales contracts set to expire in 2028, BPA is working to meet customers’ needs for post-2028 service. Provider of Choice is the initiative designed to lay the foundation for the development of policies and contracts BPA will offer its customers to meet their evolving needs and deliver competitively priced power beyond 2028.

Hydropower is critical to the Northwest’s clean energy future. Hydropower Flows Here is an effort to educate Northwest residents about the carbon-free, always available energy source that powers nearly 60% of Northwest homes and businesses.

BPA’s Environment, Fish, and Wildlife Program mitigates for the effects of the federal hydropower and transmission systems, prevents environmental impacts, and provides compliance with a host of environmental laws.
