BPA is announcing a new Rate Case, BP-26E, and will conduct pre-proceeding workshops starting in November. This process will make necessary updates to the 2026 Transmission, Ancillary and Control Area Service Rate Schedules and General Rate Schedule Provisions to implement CAISO’s Extended Day Ahead Market, or EDAM. Although BPA is not entering the EDAM, several updates to the Market Operator Tariff are scheduled to take effect, driving BPA to do the same. For BPA to retain the ability to suballocate the charge codes under the current methodology, these administrative updates must be made.

In the Nov. 6 pre-proceeding workshop, BPA will propose timelines, principles, processes and the scope of the subsequential BP-26E pre-proceeding workshop. In addition, subject matter experts will lead discussions on the issues in scope.

The workshop agenda and materials will be posted to the BP-26E Rate Case webpage before each meeting.
