BPA is funding the construction of a state-of-the-art steelhead kelt reconditioning facility aimed at restoring steelhead populations in the Clearwater River in Julietta, Idaho.

New fire-resistant wrap saved the day during a recent wildland fire, reducing damage to transmission wood poles and protecting critical infrastructure. 

The 18-month-old program reduces the amount of time and technical resources needed to replace wood transmission poles that have been identified with a critical defect.

This year, BPA celebrates a record-breaking 50 employee-nominated awardees, that is 46 individuals and four teams, for their hard work and dedication and whose service directly contributes to the agency’s 2024–2028 strategic goals.
