Whether you’re a new or experienced Science Bowl volunteer, there are opportunities to attend trainings and get to know your role. Training for general volunteers (non-officiants) is optional but highly encouraged.

The 31st annual Science Bowl returns as an in-person competition after going virtual in 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The BPA Regional Science Bowl is a fast-paced academic competition that tests student knowledge in all aspects of science: math, geology, chemistry, energy, physics, environmental science and more. The competition is round-robin, double elimination style and lasts all day at the University of Portland campus.
