​Burley Load Interconnection Capability

To support the broader economic development goals of the region, BPA is seeking to better understand local economic development priorities and inform customer and stakeholder decisions by pro-actively providing information about BPA’s local load-service capabilities.

The Burley load area (including Heyburn) is located within Idaho Power Company's (IPCO) Balancing Authority

The Burley/Heyburn cutplane is defined as:

  • Adelaide (IPCO) to Roes Corner to Heyburn 138 kV
  • Minico (IPCO) to Heyburn 138 kV
  • Minidoka PH (USBR) to Canal to Unity 138 kV

The load area serves the city of Burley and its surrounding communities. It includes Cassia County and Minidoka County.
