BPA’s Energy Conservation Annual Review assesses, compiles, and communicates BPA’s Energy Conservation Program’s accomplishments for the past year. 

BPA Energy Conservation Annual Review 2025 

In FY 2025, BPA, its customers, and regional partners collectively secured 51.7 aMW in energy
savings. This achievement is equivalent to an annual reduction in electricity costs over 57.5 million for consumers. BPA customers were directly responsible for 42 aMW of these savings through direct program implementation.

Since the passage of the Pacific Northwest Electric Power Planning and Conservation Act in 1980, BPA has acquired an estimated 2,479.3 aMW of energy savings. To put this into perspective, this is enough energy to fuel 1.89 million homes for a year and an estimated $2.7 billion in annual ratepayer savings. The agency is committed to energy conservation and investment in the Federal Columbia River Power System.
