The Bonneville Power Administration is dedicated to public involvement and transparency. To that end, we hold a number of events and public comment periods to update and receive input from stakeholders and the public.
BPA measured the total impacts from 45 federal appliance standards from 2010 to 2015 and found that the energy savings were significant enough to power over 1 million homes over the next 20 years. These standards represent a significant energy resource, and were used to develop the Northwest Power and Conservation Council’s Seventh Plan baseline and regional load forecast. The BPA market research team will continue to monitor appliance standards in coordination with NEEA to assess energy saving impacts.
